Vacuum packing is a method of packing whereby the cargo is encapsulated with the barrier foil and the air inside the package is removed/sucked out prior to sealing. This creates a vacuum by reducing the atmospheric oxygen inside the package resulting in enhanced protection against moisture, dust, salt, and the detrimental effects of humidity and sunlight etc., This provides an excellent barrier against damages caused by atmospheric interference, especially oxidation and corrosion. Vacuum packing is highly recommended for electronic equipment, military gear, pharmaceuticals, etc., especially during transit or prolonged storage.
